Lake District Guest House Makes Sustainable Impact with Charge-m8

Broomriggs Hotel in the Lake District enlisted the services of Charge-m8 to install three EV charging units which was advised upon due to the increased number of customer requests. The installation as a result only goes to show how fast EV charging in the hospitality sector is rising, with various guests and owners alike being left more than happy at the service provided.

Simon James, the owner at Broomriggs Hotel, stated that they are "delighted with" their Charge-m8 installation. "As a business, Charge-m8 has been fantastic to work with from start to finish. The feedback from our customers already has been brilliant and I'm confident that having EV charging on-site will attract even more guests over the peak and off-peak season."

Marketing Manager at Charge-m8, Neil Armitage, shard his thoughts on the installation; "We recently installed three smart, fast charging Delta units at Broomriggs Hotel in the Lake District. To preserve the heritage and to fit in with the beautiful surroundings, the expert engineers we have mounted the units on timber sleepers with a lead flashing to protect the end grain, which looked fantastic."

Neil also went on to give his reasoning for a recent surge in installation requests, claiming that it is due to "many hoteliers wanting to provide a safe charging option" and to put a stop to guests "charging on a 3 pin plug top via the hotel supply, as it can place a dangerous load on the supply and be quite costly to businesses."

Charge-m8 are continuing to stay on the rise, swiftly becoming the to-go company for all EV charging needs, both domestic and commercial.

The key to choosing the right EV charger is to check the charge rating of your vehicle as this will govern the maximum charge rate, regardless of the charge-point maximum output. You will also need to check your incoming supply to ensure that you have the spare capacity to power your new charge-point.
