EV Charging installed for hotelier in the stunning Lake District

We were recently contacted by the owners of Broomriggs, a beautiful English country estate that provides accommodation in the stunning surroundings of the Lake District.

The owners wanted to provide the convenience of electric vehicle charging for their guests and this is what they had to say:

"More and more visitors are enquiring about charging point locations in the Lake District. We wanted to add the convenience of electric vehicle charging from the comfort of the hotel.

It was important that safe charging facilities were provided as you hear about guests charging cars on a 3 pin plug top via the hotel supply. This can place dangerous load on the supply and in addition, it can be quite costly to the business.

Adding charging facilities provides a fast, convenient way for guests to charge and as a business owner, allows me to charge at a reasonable rate with the option of an additional income stream for the provision."

It was important to our expert engineers to preserve the heritage and surroundins with a natural sympathetic approach to the installation. The smart, fast charging Delta units were mounted on timber sleepers with a lead flashing cap to protect the end grain.

The owners then carried out some ground works to ensure the provision did not look out of place.

Finally to protect the units, tyre stops were installed and the bays were marked for clear visibility.
