• Who are Charge-m8.com?

Established in 2017, Charge-m8.com are an independent manufacturer and charge-point operator (CPO) of Electric Vehicle charging points for the home and office. With a fantastic range of high quality EV charge points, Charge-m8.com® offer a one-stop service to keep your vehicle charged and ready to go, from installation, premier support and access to over 5000 charge-points across Europe.

• How long does it take to install a charge point from the date of ordering?

Once you have completed your order and pre-installation survey, we aim to install your Charge-m8® charger within 14 working days. This can vary depending on location. Mainland GB only, Highlands, Islands and NI are subject to additional charges

• Can I install the EV Charger myself or get my own electrician to install it?

At Charge-m8® we install all of our own EV Charge-points, this allows us to guarantee the installation and commissioning is to our own exacting standards. As we offer a premier on-site support service as part of our monthly subscription, we believe it is important for us to manage the whole process of supply and installation – after all, no one knows our products better than our own in-house installation engineers.

• What are the conditions of warranty?

The product warranty requires the installation and commissioning of Charge-m8® products to be carried out by a qualified installer in compliance with Electrical Safety Regulations and all local building regulations and accepted codes of practice in force at the time of installation. Failure to follow the correct installation or use of the product for any purpose outside of the manufacturers intended design will invalidate the product warranty

• Are your products OLEV approved?

Where applicable and stated in the product description, Charge-m8® EV Chargers are OLEV Approved under the Homecharge (HCS) and/or Workplace (WCS) schemes, and eligible for the OLEV grants subject to application criteria.

• Do you charge a subscription fee?

At Charge-m8 we offer a low upfront installation cost, with a small monthly subscription (from £5 per month for a single charge-point with up to 5 driver profiles for Home Charge installations, and £10 per month for Workplace Charge Points) that includes monitoring, charge session reporting to OZEV/OLEV, remote diagnostics, software updates and of course, on-site engineer support in the unlikely event you'll ever need it.

Unlike most other manufacturers, we have our own fully employed installation engineers, if we can't fix your charger remotely, or during the first visit on-site, we'll replace it there and then, like-for-like to keep you on the road.
